Thinking Nodes

Bear Wang

Welcome to my personal homepage, a space to showcase my thoughts, ideas, and creations.

My role has shifted over time. Before 2024 I was mostly a blockchain Rust developer. Now I spend more time on product design and management. As AI becomes more capable, the line between technical and non-technical work feels less important, so I often think of myself as a builder.

  • I got married in 2023. Family life means a lot to me.
  • I started working remotely in 2020 and I hope to keep doing it long term. I’m disciplined about routines and time, and I prefer not to be rushed. I usually deliver ahead of deadlines.
  • I care a lot about details. Carelessness creates unnecessary coordination cost, and I find that exhausting.
  • I’ve had enough bad experiences with Apple products that I avoid Mac and iPhone now. For work, I like ThinkPad and various Linux distros.
  • I don’t play computer games. I’m not the stereotypical “nerd coder” who lives for obscure tricks. I enjoy good engineering, but I enjoy collaboration and moving projects forward even more.
  • I love football, especially Liverpool FC.
  • I play badminton, swim, and practice Tai Chi regularly. Tai Chi in particular helped me a lot with the neck and back pain that many programmers eventually run into.
